Artiste<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mathis Leroux, artiste fran\u00e7ais n\u00e9 en 2004, a suivi un cursus de trois ans dans une \u00e9cole d'art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Quand j'\u00e9tais plus jeune, je pratiquais l'origami, fascin\u00e9 par la fa\u00e7on dont une simple feuille de papier pouvait prendre trois dimensions. C'est probablement de l\u00e0 que vient mon besoin d'aller au-del\u00e0 du dessin en deux dimensions et de cr\u00e9er des \u0153uvres en trois dimensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aujourd'hui, je travaille principalement avec le bois et le pl\u00e2tre. Ce sont des mat\u00e9riaux que j'aime manipuler pour cr\u00e9er des reliefs et jouer avec les textures. Je coupe, ponce, colle, peins et vernis pour donner naissance \u00e0 des compositions tridimensionnelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J'utilise diverses m\u00e9thodes, allant des techniques num\u00e9riques aux techniques plus traditionnelles. Je passe par plusieurs \u00e9tapes et utilise divers outils pour d\u00e9velopper mon expertise unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intentions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Mon travail explore diff\u00e9rentes formes d'illusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans mes portraits, je veux m'assurer que le spectateur ne reste pas passif. En modifiant la distance ou l'angle, le visage se transforme. Cette exp\u00e9rience me rappelle la vie elle-m\u00eame : parfois, il faut prendre du recul pour percevoir la beaut\u00e9 d'un instant. Mes portraits v\u00e9hiculent ainsi un sentiment de nostalgie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans mes \u0153uvres min\u00e9rales, l'illusion r\u00e9side davantage dans le mat\u00e9riau lui-m\u00eame. \u00c0 travers les textures, les reliefs et la peinture, je cherche \u00e0 donner l'impression d'une roche naturelle, fa\u00e7onn\u00e9e par le temps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans les deux cas, mon intention est de transformer des mat\u00e9riaux simples en quelque chose qui semble vivant ou naturel, en jouant avec la perception, la lumi\u00e8re et la mati\u00e8re. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
